Why we’re so passionate about helping our clients
Hi, I’m Mark ‘Salty’ Smith, but you can call me Salty (it’s a long story). I’m the Director of Credit Care Australia, which I established in 2015 after I saw a need to help people not only sort out their financial situation, but stay on track.
But first a little about my own background, and why it has offered me a unique perspective into the same types of problems that you may be facing.
I spent two decades working in the automotive industry. I owned and operated auto detailing franchises in the 1990’s, moved into automotive sales where I was Salesperson of the Year two years running at a large multi franchise dealership, then progressed through the ranks with one of Australia’s largest motorcycle groups from salesperson to Business Manager and finally Dealer Principle.
This was where I found a passion for the world of finance and have always strived to help people get the funds they required for that new purchase.
Then, like so many people from all walks of life, I faced some challenges which I didn’t handle as well as I could have. I decided I needed some time to sort things out, and one of the things I found was that creditors didn’t like waiting. I contemplated bankruptcy many times, but I knew in my industry this wasn’t an option. There were many sleepless nights!
When I finally got back on track I needed help to re-establish my finance, but I couldn’t find anywhere or anyone to help me. Sure, I could find plenty of companies to help me declare bankruptcy, or who tried to talk me into entering into a debt agreement which I knew was a part of the bankruptcy act. Ultimately none of these options worked for me, so I set myself small goals, and tackled them one at a time. Then, with advice from a friend, I secured a loan to get me back on track.
I decided then and there that I truly wanted to help others achieve what I had… and Credit Care Australia was born.
Since then, our small team of finance experts has worked with countless customers, using our proven process and guidance to get them back on track.
